Noel’s clients include public and private companies, banks and other financial institutions, security printers, oil companies and a significant number of large and small businesses and accountants.
Noel has been involved in a significant amount of banking and finance industry litigation. Noel has undertaken recent work for Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, Bank of Melbourne (formerly St George Bank), ANZ Banking Group Limited and AXA Australia.
Noel has been involved in a significant amount of large-scale litigation including:
- acting for liquidators, administrators and receivers in litigation in the Supreme and Federal Courts;
- defence of prosecutions under the Competition and Consumer Act and former Trade Practices Act;
- litigation arising out of the collapse of Tricontinental Merchant Bank and the Pyramid Building Society;
- litigation arising from computer hardware and software disputes;
- a number of franchise disputes in the Federal, Supreme and County Courts; and
- Commissions and Inquiries for Tricontinental, Farrow Group, the building industry and HIH.
