John’s area of practice includes a front-end development focus for large scale developments with a particular interest in health-related development, having acted for several hospitals and aged care developers.

John’s front-end experience includes providing advice and the preparation of all types of agreements and documentation required for building projects. John performs this work for financiers, proprietors and contractors and has assisted in preparing documents relating to substantial apartment developments, retirement villages, major construction projects and shopping centres.

John also maintains a diverse construction litigation practice. Matters concluded and current include large scale engineering claims, complex delay, disruption and variation claims and a variety of defects, bank guarantee recovery, liquidated damages, contract based and trade practices claims. John’s construction litigation experience is preceded by experience in general commercial property litigation.
