Jason has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Laws from La Trobe University. He became a senior associate in 2010.

Jason is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria.

Prior to joining Hall & Wilcox, Jason worked in a number of roles at the TAC and TAC Law from 1998 and later WorkSafe when TAC Law ceased operating in November 2004.  Jason remained at WorkSafe for approximately four years with his final position being Principal Workers' Consultant at WorkCover Assist - a division of WorkSafe which provides representation for workers before the Accident Compensation Conciliation Service.
