Current PracticeAndrew is a commercial dispute resolution lawyer with experience in a wide range of litigation. Andrew's practice focusses on general commercial litigation, trade practices disputes, franchise disputes, bankruptcy, alternative dispute resolution and tax disputes. His expertise includes:
litigation in Supreme & Federal Courts and Tribunals on a range of issues including personal income tax, contract disputes and property disputes;
acting for Comcare to recover monies paid by mistake;
complicated contractual disputes;
defending claims brought by Government agencies such as the ASIC and the ACCC for misleading and deceptive conduct,
unconscionable conduct and breach of director’s duties;
fashion and design law;
claims involving breach of franchise agreements;
trust disputes, including breaches of trustee’s duties;
partnership law;
trade practices, competiton and consumer litigation; and
property law disputes; and professional negligence.
ExperienceAndrew’s practice is varied and he acts in all manner of disputes with a focus on tax litigation and complicated commercial disputes. Andrew has been involved in a number of cases in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal in Victoria involving taxation decisions, objections and Freedom of Information requests. QualificationsAndrew has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) from the University of Tasmania.
