Hall & Wilcox boosts national commercial dispute team

Hall & Wilcox has appointed experienced litigation and insolvency specialist Mark Petrucco as a partner in its Sydney office.

Mark joins the firm from his own practice. Mark brings with him Megan Scott, Senior Associate. Mark and Megan will sit in the firm’s national Commercial Dispute Resolution and Insolvency teams.

Mark practises in commercial litigation, corporate restructuring and insolvency, intellectual property and financial services and securities enforcement. He acts for clients in the financial services sector, insolvency practitioners and digital media.

Mark’s legal career commenced with Freehills and included stints at Mallesons and Rockwell Olivier before starting his own practice. Megan was previously at Freshfields in London and Freehills in Sydney.

Hall & Wilcox Managing Partner, Tony Macvean, says Mark and the team add further depth to the firm’s already strong commercial dispute resolution and insolvency practice. “Mark has an outstanding track record in commercial litigation and insolvency and will be a major asset to the firm. He particularly adds strength to our commercial litigation and insolvency offering in the Sydney market, complementing leading partners including Graydon Dowd, Noel Batrouney and Wayne Kelcey.”

Mark commented: “We are very excited to be joining Hall & Wilcox, a highly respected and well established law firm. The firm’s focus on legal excellence, client needs and community values are impressive and it is a privilege to be part of the team. We are inspired by and subscribe to the firm’s vision to be Australia’s leading independent business law firm.”

Hall & Wilcox continues to grow its Sydney and national presence, providing an integrated full service offering to national and global clients across various sectors and service lines.
