Leading independent business law firm Hall & Wilcox continues to build its presence in Sydney with the appointment of experienced corporate lawyer Danny Herceg as the lead partner in the firm’s Sydney Corporate & Commercial team.
Danny has advised Australian and international enterprises for close to 20 years, most recently running his own practice, Herceg Lawyers, since 2002. Danny was previously a partner at Gilbert & Tobin and has experience with Mayer, Platt Brown in Chicago and Freehills in Sydney.
Tony Macvean, Managing Partner at Hall & Wilcox, said the appointment will further add to the firm’s public markets reputation. “Danny is recognised as a leading Equity Capital Markets lawyer and adds further depth to our corporate and M&A team.
“While it’s a significant boost to our Sydney office we believe that Danny’s appointment will be welcomed by our clients nationally.”
Danny’s key areas of expertise include advising middle-market Australian and international enterprises on public listings, capital raisings, mergers and acquisitions (both public and private), capital market divestments and restructures, takeover defences and dispute resolution.
Danny commented that the move is right for him and his clients. “Hall & Wilcox is a progressive firm with great energy and vibrancy, particularly the impressive corporate and M&A team. It seems a natural fit for the work I do and for my clients. I am looking forward to the opportunities this move will bring.”
Hall & Wilcox formally opened a Sydney office in February this year, following the acquisition of the Sydney office of law firm Duncan Cotterill.
