The Hall & Wilcox Employment team provides a full service offering for clients and has advised clients from a wide range of industries on all of the litigious and non-litigious aspects of employment and workplace relations law. - Equal Employment Opportunity - advising clients on all aspects of anti-discrimination, equal opportunity, sexual harassment and workplace bullying issues including drafting workplace policies and conducting workplace training, investigating complaints of discrimination, sexual harassment and bullying, and acting in equal employment opportunity claims in the various State and Federal commissions and tribunals.
- Commercial transactions and transfer of business issues – advising on the employment aspects of commercial transactions and transfer of business situations.
- Restraints and confidential information – advising on the restraint and confidentiality obligations of former employees and acting for employers where their former employees have breached their restraint and confidentiality obligations.
- Employee discipline and termination – advising clients on the processes to adopt to minimise their legal exposure when performance managing and disciplining employees and when terminating the employment of employees, including the termination of senior executives and employees on long-term absences due to illness or injury.
- Industrial relations litigation including dispute prevention, management and resolution – acting in unfair dismissal, general protections and unlawful termination claims, union disputes and common law actions.
