Current practice Matt has vast experience and expertise in insurance litigation and indemnity disputes. He acts for a number of major Australian general insurers as well as underwriting agencies and self-insured corporations. Clients and recent experience Matt has extensive expertise managing a wide variety of matters for leading insurers. His experience includes public liability, product liability, construction and professional indemnity. Matt is known for being an exacting practitioner. He is appreciated by his clients for his straightforward, cost-effective and prompt advice. Qualifications and personal affiliations Matt has a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Monash University. Since graduating from university, Matt has worked almost exclusively in insurance litigation. He became a partner at Hall & Wilcox in 2006. He is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) and he sits on the ANZIF Claims Discussion Group Committee. He regularly presents seminars and workshops for his clients, the insurance industry and professional service providers. He is also a member of the Australian Insurance Law Association and the Law Institute of Victoria.
